This rectangular stole features panels with wide cables and additional texture from popcorn and raindrop stitches. Each of the stitch patterns is fun to do and adds a variety of techniques to enliven the knitting.

The pattern is written with a loose gauge via the recommended needle size and yarn combination. This creates the wavy flow of the cables to contrast the other stitch patterns. The loose gauge also allows the cables to cross many stitches so they are more flat than round.

The sample yarn for this piece is delightful to work with as it blooms very nicely to get a light worsted gauge.
