If you have never tried felting before--no fear. It’s a simple process and nearly fool-proof. With a washing machine on a hot cycle and a titch of soap you’ll have a durable, beautiful rug for years to come. You can read here why I like the process and result so much.

The 8 page pattern includes:
~complete written instructions for making the triangle motifs, raised dots, and joining it all together
~complete felting instructions that are simple and easy to follow
~additional pictures for joining the dots to the triangles
~special stitches, notes and abbreviations (standard US terms)
~complete materials list including yarn colors used in the sample

Materials:
H (5mm) hook
1 skein each of 12 colors of feltable wool--approximately 130 yards/118m each color (NOT washable or “superwash” as it has been treated and will NOT felt)
Washing machine--hot cycle
1/4 C laundry soap
1/4 C baking soda (optional)
Lingerie/Laundry bag (optional)
Items for increased agitation (flip flops, tennis balls, old jeans)

Skill Level: Intermediate--only because of a couple of tall stitches (detailed in the pattern), joining the dots as-you-go (pictures to assist, if needed), and felting.
