This very simple sweater is transformed with beautiful lazy daisy embroidery around the eyelets on the girl’s version and groovy stripes on the boy’s. Who says a basic pattern has to look basic? Use the ideas shown here to customize your own version with embroidery or stripes. This pattern can fit newborns up to 12 months old.

Finished Size: For newborns, the finished length is 9 ½” (24 cm) and for 12 months old, it is 11 ¾”” (30 cm).
Yarn: Green Mountain Spinnery Cotton
Comfort (20% organic cotton, 80% fine wool).
Yarn Weight: 180 yd 165 m/2 oz: #6-B bluet (light blue, MC), 2 skeins (all sizes) and #6-D denim (dark blue, CC), 1 skein (all sizes) for striped sweater; #6-PL pink lilac, 2 (2, 3, 3) skeins and small amount of #6-MZ maize for embroidery.
