Jinlys is a very simple, yet elegant cowl with a subtle and easy to work texture, that provides just the right amount of interest.

Starting with a provisional cast-on, it’s knitted flat on the bias until the final length is reached. Then both ends are grafted together using the kitchener stitch.

Final measurements are approximately 20 cm x 125 cm, but you can easily vary this by either knitting more rows, so that the cowl becomes longer, or adding pattern repeats to each row so that the cowl becomes wider.

Skills needed are provisionally cast on, knit, purl, yo, pass stitches over, k2tog and graft.

While knitting itself is fairly easy the grafting is a bit harder, so all in all the difficulty is low up to intermediate.

Thank you racoonims for translating the pattern to french and ultragold for proofreading!
