An echo can be defined as a close parallel or repetition of an idea, style, or for the inspiration of this design, a stitch pattern. For Jeweled Echoes, I took a bold textured diamond brocade pattern and echoed the stitch pattern into two-colored slipped stitch mosaic diamond shapes that shifted into an airy diamond lace with beaded edging for an elegant finish. In this two-colored asymmetrical triangular shawl, I wanted to find a way to shift to the contrasting color without the harsh lines of stripes. I found the slipped stitch mosaic pattern to be the perfect answer! The mosaic stitch, with its stunning results by slipping stitches and using only one color every two rows, makes for a beautiful two-color stitch pattern. This shawl is sure to pique your interest, and I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I did designing the pattern!
