A striped, textured and buttoned cushion in stocking stitch, designed for use of the free 50g of Charlotte Cookie yarn enclosed with Let’s Knit! Magazine 39, February 2011, although the pattern also requires 100g of recommended DK yarn. The cushion is backed with cotton fabric.

Required: 100g of recommended DK yarn (218yd/199m); 50g Charlotte Cookie (124m); tapestry needle/bodkin for sewing up; cotton fabric; three buttons, cushion pad 35 x 35cm; sewing machine or needle and thread.

There is no gauge, stitch diagram or chart. There is a “tangle-free tips” panel explaining how to use the Charlotte pompom yarn, and another paragraph explaining how to wash it.
