Jessamyn -- Harpershall Wrap
JESSAMYN is a greatly enjoyable and satisfying project! It’s wonderfully simple to knit, with clear step-by-step instructions, and the featured yarns contribute to the elegant result …
The distinctively curved silhouette of this wrap is extremely wearable (and figure-flattering) and is ideally suited to the texture and material composition of the fibers.
The styling options are limited only by your own creativity. In no time, JESSAMYN will truly become a signature piece in your year-’round wardrobe!
The overall stitch patterns are rapidly-memorized repeats that are quick to knit and attractive, and more-experienced knitters may even substitute other edgings for those expressly designed for this wrap, thus further customizing the piece to their own unique taste.
The designer’s yarn choices for the creation of JESSAMYN were YarnZone.com Amuse yarn in #900 white with laser (silver) sequins and SWTC Yang yarn in #831 Health burgundy-crimson. One skein of Amuse and two hanks of Yang are required.
Amuse is sequined polyester yarn, threaded with sparkle for a radiant aura, available in a 50g skein of about 360 yds; gauge in patt (knit as directed) is 2.8 sts/in and 5.2 rows/in.
Yang has a unique texture created by wrapping silk threaded with metallic sequins around a tri-fiber base of wool, silk, and bamboo, for a subtler sheen or glow, and is available in 50g hanks of 55m each; gauge in patt (knit as directed) is 2.0-2.5 sts/in and 1.9-2.5 rows/in.
