Jenny’s Scoodie is a pattern that was inspired by cold weather and the need for both a warm scarf and a hood! This particular pattern has gone through many iterations over the past decade and I’ve finally settled on all of the design elements I desire in such a garment. The hood has a folded brim that adds just enough weight for it to stop from blowing away in the wind, with extra support from a drawstring.

This pattern can easily be altered to add more depth to the hood if desired, and it is also easy to change the width and length of the scarf as well.

Can’t get your hands on Drops ANDES Mix? This pattern can also be worked up using Lion Brand Thick and Quick - no need to hold the yarn double in that case!

Construction:
This pattern is mostly worked in double crochet, with a few rows of half double crochets. It is worked in one piece with a slip-stitch seam and two sewn seams.
