Jeff's Pub Sweater
Smart men’s cardigan with zipper front.
Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Spring 2009: “Hana Jason’s Jeff’s Pub Sweater finds plenty of inspiration in simple stockinette, building a man’s sweater in pieces that fit together like a puzzle. Exposed seams and a two-way zipper allow the entire sweater to be worn inside-out, reversing the textures of each panel. A ribbed saddle shoulder flows into neck ribbing and adds strength.”
Finished Size: 41 (43, 44½, 45¾, 48¼)“ chest circumference, zipped. Sweater shown measures 41”.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (80% cotton, 20% merino; 215 yd 197 m/100 g): #CW115 driftwood, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10) skeins.
Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 24” circular (cir) and 2 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; markers (m); 21 (21, 24, 24, 25)“ reversible zipper; sewing thread and needle.
Notes:
- This sweater is worked in several pieces and sewn together with decorative exposed seams. Block and sew pieces together as you work to avoid finished fatigue.
- If ends are woven in carefully and invisibly along seams, this sweater is completely reversible.
- All seams on this sweater are exposed. Take care to keep selvedges and cast-on/bind-off edges neat and flexible - do not cast on or bind off too tightly.
