Knitting pattern for Jazz by Hanne Falkenberg

Short cardigan/sweater in garter stitch / mosaic knitting with a nice fit and beautiful graphic details. The pattern includes both guides to make a cardigan with waist tie and a closed sweater with a complete front side and a taller neck edge.

The cardigan is worked back and forth from sleeve edge to sleeve edge. The pattern is worked in slip stitch following a diagram. You only knit with one color at a time.

The finished cardigan is closed with circular knitted ties which are sewn on to the front pieces in extension of the stripe.

Worked with one strand throughout.

Placing of the colors:
The same amount of yarn is used both in the main color and the contrast color therefore it is not important which color you order as main/contrast color.

Gauge:
26½ sts and 54 rows in mosaic knitting using 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm
25 sts and 50 rows in garter stitch using 3 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Suggested needles: Circular ndls 3 mm, length 80 cm.
A pair of straight ndls 3 mm and a set of dpns 2½ mm for the neck band
