Let me introduce you to the very handsome Jarvis Cockatiel! He’s a 29cm tall cockatiel, and you can knit him today from my 6 page PDF knitting pattern.

Jarvis is knitted flat using 4mm needles, and your knitting pattern includes detailed knitting and making-up instructions, with colour photos to help you on your way. I’ve included a tutorial on making wire legs, which is useful for any kind of knitted bird that you’re making, not just Jarvis!

I like to use Stylecraft Special DK to make these feathery friends - all of the shades that you will need are listed in the pattern, but you can use any DK yarn that you have in your stash. You’ll also need some craft wire for the legs, 2 x 6mm black beads, orange felt and a pipe cleaner.
