Cranes are believed to live for a thousand years and inhabit the land of the immortals. They symbolize longevity and good fortune. Paper cranes have come to symbolize peace and it is thought if a person folds 1000 paper cranes, a wish will be granted. I just think cranes are beautiful and graceful, especially if spied while in flight. Two sizes for this cowl, Tighter and Looser. Knit in worsted weight yarn.
