Jack the Pirate Octopus uses a 2 mm hook. I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4 yarn. When using the recommended hook size, yarn and yarn under (x stitch), it measures 2 inches/5 centimeters.

Other materials needed are:
Polyfill stuffing
9 mm safety eyes

Some of the skills used in this pattern are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease, and finish off. The pattern includes complete assembly details with pictures.
