This cozy, slouchy hat (knit from the bottom up) was designed to pair with Izzy’s California Fade Shawl, using the yarn remaining from that design to create a complementary accessory. Of course, any fingering weight wool or wool blend will do, so if a hat’s all you need, just look to your stash for three different colored fingering weight yarns. Then I’ll show you how to create a simple fade effect by holding these yarns double in various ratios, eliminating much of the work required to achieve a conventional fade.
