The original inspiration for Ivy Pullover came from the twisting ivy climbing across the yellow wall of our house. Everything about it felt wild and tangled, yet there was still some kind of ancient order hidden within it.

I simply opened my charting program and started drawing leaves wherever my hand wanted to take them — and from that, the Ivy Pullover motif was born.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted variegated leaves, shades that would look different in bright sunlight than they would in shadow or soft dusk light. At my local yarn shop, I found the perfect colors to bring that vision to life.

After that, all that remained was shaping the idea into a pullover.
