It’s My Party, #198. Here’s your American Girl or similar sized 18 inch doll party girl all dressed up in crochet for her special day. Instructions included for dress, shoes, socks and headband in colorful baby yarn with balloon appliques and trim made from perle cotton (you may substitute #10 cotton thread).

Materials Used: Size E hook and size 7 steel hook or sizes needed for gauges; four #3 snaps; 1/8” ribbon--50” each of yellow, blue, red, green; baby yarn—3 oz. print, 1.5 oz. blue, 3 oz. white; #5 perle cotton—40 yds. each of yellow, red and green.

With E hook and baby yarn:
5 sts and 5 sc rows or 3 dc rnds = 1 inch.
9 hdc rnds or 5 dc rnds worked in back lp = 2 inches.

With size 7 steel hook and 1 strand #5 perle cotton or size #10 thread: 8 sc and 9 sc rows = 1 inch.
