This fun bag with its clever use of slip stitches that become an I-cord handle is a great way to play with your knitting and make something you’ll love to use, just as much as you loved making it. There are 23 repeats of the slip stitch pattern up the side of the bag which is also the number of chromosomes you get from each parent and the slip stitch pattern happens to look like the human genome mapping, hence the DNA reference. Once we embark on our knitting journeys, it’s hard to envision our lives without it. Knitting truly becomes part of our DNA!
