I wanted a poncho that had an easy stitch pattern and very simple shaping. The poncho is done in two rectangular pieces with the beginning and ending yarn tails making the self fringe. You may use any worsted weight yarn but make sure your gauge is correct as the triangle formed at the top determines the neck opening.
