Itha-Cowl, one of three projects designed for Knit Ithaca 2018!

You can purchase the entire Ithaca Collection (cowl, mitts, and headband) for $10.00 OR purchase the patterns individually. The cowl pattern includes Itha-Head, a headband pattern that you can use for swatching the colorwork at the bottom of the poncho!

Itha-Cowl is worked from the top down. It begins with corrugated ribbing that flows in a single “Creek” created by vertical stranding. The creek then explodes into a waterfall that is surrounded by colorwork “rain.” The rain turns into a downpour and then transitions to Winter with a traditional motif that reminds me of snowflakes (or flowers). The bottom hem is finished off with more corrugated ribbing to balance the piece out.

Kits are available for Itha-Cowl here… supplies are limited! The kit includes enough yarn to make the poncho (in your size) AND a headband!
