The wide lace scarves of the 1920s were worn long and silky to accent the new slender figure and clothing of the decade, but probably came in handy, too, for those baring shoulders for the first time. This fine, silky rectangle features a shimmery damask pattern that relies on changes in stitch direction for the play of shadows across its surface. Make the most of this feature by using a yarn that has a soft sheen.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.
