Isabelle Cardigan
The Isabelle Cardigan was inspired by my love for Animal Crossing. Isabelle wears a cabled cardigan during the fall that I wanted to wear myself! I did change the design from hers by adding a leaf motif in the middle of the cables, but for anybody that wants a more exact copy of her cardigan, the leaves can easily be swapped out for reverse stockinette.
The Isabelle Cardigan is a cabled v-neck cardigan with moderately ballooned set-in sleeves and a slightly cropped, relaxed fit. The body pieces are knit separately from the bottom up. Once these are sewn together, the sleeves will be added seamlessly by picking up stitches around the armholes and shaped using short rows before finishing them in the round. To create the ribbed button band, stitches will be picked up along the edges, where 1-row buttonholes will be added.
I’m still looking for feedback for sizes 7-10. If you’d like to knit one of these sizes and provide feedback in exchange for the pattern, let me know!
