Irish Dance Booties
Irish dancers wear soft laced dance shoes called Pomps. (often pronounced ‘poms’). They also wear socks they call Poodle Socks which have a textured soft upper part with a plain close fitted lower part.

This pattern will allow you to make all-in-one socks and dance shoe booties for little feet. The booties are laced, but this is mainly decorative.

These booties are fun to knit. The booties are knit flat, then the sole is knit in shape and then they are seamed at the back of the heel. The pattern contains helpful diagrams and pictures.

Booties are worked in DK yarn on 3 3/4mm / US 5 needles.

Knit on smaller needles if your gauge works out too large.
The booties are soft and stretchy, the third size is a generous fit.
