Irene Socks
As a child, I first learned to knit from my grandmother Irene. I think she would be so thrilled to know that knitting has become so important to me, and I often think of her while I am working on a new design.
Irene socks are a gorgeous blend of faux cable and garter columns running down the front of the sock, and smooth stockinette stitch on the back. You will find this stitch pattern simple to memorize, and very speedy to work up. An easy to knit texture is my favourite kind of sock to knit and wear. I hope you love these too!
