update 08/20: Italian version added

interstellar is worked seamlessly from the top down. Knitting starts from a cast-on at the shoulders. Short rows are used to shape the shoulders, then both parts are joined to work the back down to the underarm. Stitches are then picked up at the shoulders to work each front to final neck cast on that closes the neck. The front is then worked down to the underarm. Back and front are joined at the underarm and worked in the round to the colorwork hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around each armhole and sleeves are worked from the top down in the round to the cuffs. The neck finishing is worked last.

Needles
US 3 (3.25 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for neck finishing and sleeve ribbing.
US 4 (3.5 mm) 32” (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and sleeves.

Gauge
24 sts x 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) square in Stockinette stitch on larger needle after blocking.
Due to variance between knitters, colorwork should be swatched to determine whether to go up or down a needle size to keep gauge consistent.
