Inner Peace
This pattern was designed as part of “A Traveller’s Dye-ry” - a unique project lead by Janice Anderson of BaaWool with her daughter and photographer Jenny Anderson. Inspired by a selected country from Jenny’s travel photography, each dyer created a unique colour-way which were subsequently supported by an intricate design.
Photography, hand dyed yarn and designs are currently exhibited (from Monday 4th to Saturday 9th October, 10am to 5pm), at the wonderful gallery and popup shop Hy, in Stonehaven, Scotland. A beautiful coffee table book completes the display.

About the pattern:
Featuring squishy Garter stitch, easy short-rows, and a touch of lace, this reversible shawl is inspired by the remote countryside of Sri Lanka.
The yarn in this pattern is the “Sri Lanka” colour-way by Ripples Crafts.

* (MC) 2 x 100g skein of Ripples Crafts Burras in Shade A Traveller’s Dye-ry Sri Lanka (100% superfine merino. 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g)
Three-Colour Version
- (MC) 1 x 100g skein of Ripples Crafts Burras in Shade A Traveller’s Dye-ry Sri Lanka (100% superfine merino. 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g)
- (CC) 1 x 50 g of Baa ram ewe Titus in Shade Nidderdale (50% Wensleydale Longwool, 20% Bluefaced Leicester, 30% British Alpaca. 320m / 350yds per 100g)
- (CC2) 1 x 50g of Wee County Yarns Kinross Lambswool 4ply in shade Fairy Pools (100% superfine wool. 205 m / 224 yds per 50 g)
Needles and Notions:
3.75 mm (US 5) needles. Or size required to achieve gauge.
Stitch markers or scrap yarn
Darning needle. Blocking mat and pins.

20 sts and 34 rows / 10 cm (4 in) measured over Garter stitch worked flat, measured after blocking
