Please note: a number of knitters have had trouble with the increases in the sleeve cable charts. I’ve included more details on how these should be worked below - please PM me if you have any further trouble, and my apologies for any confusion caused!

Sorry for the confusion on the charts for the sleeve cable - hopefully the following explanation will get you moving ahead again! On Round 3 of the left sleeve chart, you will work p2, k2, p5 - this should bring you to the point where you work the M1L. You should have 3 purl stitches remaining before the k2, p2 that end that round of the chart. With the M1L, lift the bar between the sts from front to back and purl into it (the stitch above this one in Round 4 is a purl st) and you knit the next stitch on the left hand needle. Then work the M1R - lift the bar between the two sts from back to front and knit into the front of this stitch (stitch above in Round 4 is a knit stitch), then purl the next stitch on the left needle. You then should be able to work p1, k2, p2 to finish the chart.

Similarly on the right sleeve chart, for the M1L in Round 3, you will purl the picked up stitch and knit the following stitch, and for the M1R you will knit the picked up stitch and purl the following stitch.

This keeps the stitches flowing seamlessly into how they are worked on the following rounds.

Errata: the symbol given for the 2/2 RC cable instruction in the Right Sleeve Chart has been flipped on the vertical axis so it is backwards - the 2/2 RC should be worked on stitches 13-16 of Round 11, stitches 9-12 on Round 15, and stitches 5-8 on Round 19.

Arranmore is a yarn that calls out to become a sweater and we took much inspiration from it’s Irish roots for this pattern. Inishmeane is a sweater you’ll love to knit and absolutely want to wear all winter long whether on a long walk or enjoying a pint in your local pub on a winter evening.

This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up with turned hems. The body is worked first in stocking stitch to the underarms, then the front and back are worked flat. The shoulder stitches are left live on holders while the sleeves are worked. The cable detail running up the outside of the sleeve is then worked with the live shoulder stitches to form a saddle shoulder. Finally, the tall collar and front plackets are picked up and worked flat.
