Jacket is knit in two cable patterns, combined in a simple sequence. Sizing is like traditional Aran sweaters, by altering the number of stitches in the seed-stitch panels, so the cable design is not disturbed.

Lower body is worked in one piece to the armholes, then back and fronts are divided and worked separately to the shoulders. Collar is worked as a continuation of the charted section of each front, then joined at center back neck using three-needle bind-off. Sleeves are worked in the round from cuffs upward, then attached to the body by binding off the live sleeve sts together with stitches picked up around the armhole opening using three-needle bind-off method.

Fit: Standard (2-4” / 5-10 cm)

• Body and sleeves: US 7 / 4.5 mm, 24” and 16” / 60 and 40 cm circular needles.
• Lower edge and front border: US 5 / 3.75 mm, 24” / 60 cm circular needles.
• Cuffs: US 4 / 3.5 mm. set of four double-pointed needles.
