Procedure
The sock is constructed with a classic reinforced heel flap and gusset, which provides both durability and a snug, comfortable fit. The foot is worked in smooth stockinette stitch, allowing the mosaic design on the leg to stand out as a decorative feature. The toe shaping is done gradually for a rounded finish and is completed with grafting (Kitchener stitch) for a seamless result. The sock is knitted using circular needles with the magic loop method but can of course be knitted with double pointed needles if you prefer.
