Notes from the Designer:

This design was inspired by the realization of how big the universe is and how small we are in comparison and the beauty found in everyone being together. Similarly in knitting, each stitch is tiny, but when looked at together, it creates a beautiful finished project. Infinitesimal is an oversized cardigan with an engaging cable panel and optional fade pattern. The design is worked in the raglan style from the top down with shaping for the V neck. The body and sleeves are split and knit separately with lots of positive ease. Lastly, the neckline is knitted and sewn to the cardigan.

  • Click here to watch a video tutorial showing how to work the cables featured in this pattern.
  • The cardigan is knit in a raglan style from the top down in one piece.
  • The sweater is shaped, so the neck and raglan is increasing at the same time.
  • Odd rows are RS rows, and even rows are WS. • When making a stitch for the raglan (m1), M1R before the k2 and M1L after.
  • For the V neck increases, M1R on the right V and M1L on the left V.
  • You may need to break yarn and rejoin it on the other side of work during the color changes.
  • Before you CO, I recommend highlighting your size ahead of time.
