If you’re anything like me, sometimes you feel the need to indulge in a fancy skein of sock yarn. Maybe you’re drawn to it because of the color, because of its softness, or maybe just because you can never have enough sock yarn. Whatever the reason for obtaining it, your extra special skein deserves an elegant stitch pattern to show off its beauty.

These socks are worked from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. They have a stockinette toe and are closed with Kitchener stitch.

SIZES: Small, (Medium, Large)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 7, (8, 9) inches, unstretched. Choose a size that will give you between 0.5 and 1 inch(es) of negative ease.

GAUGE: 8 stitches and 11 rows per inch in st st

NEEDLES: US 1.5 (2.5 mm) or size needed to get gauge

YARN: One 100g skein of fingering weight sock yarn. The sample used Sweet Georgia Bulletproof Sock in Pistachio.
