Inari Okami
by Nele Redweik
Inari Okami is the androgynous Japanese kami, or spirit of fertility, rice, tea, and agriculture. The duality of the two sides of the hat and the textured rosette stitch, not unlike rice kernels, led me to choose the name.
Note: Hat is double-layered with a patterned shell and stockinette lining.
