In the Woods Mosaic Cowl
Get prepared for colder days with this cute and very soft cowl.
«In the Woods» cowl was made using a soft alpaca yarn. The cowl grows very quickly and is very comfortable to use. Not heavy and very soft to use against the skin. It is great for a quick gift or for a weekend project.
The cowl uses crochet mosaic overlay technique, worked in the round. It is written in English (US terms), has lots of pictures to guide you through the pattern and charts. On YouTube you can see my videos for mosaic tapestry. Click here.
If you want you can do the cowl in regular mosaic overlay technique without any tapestry work.
You are very welcome to join Oneskeinoflove Designs - Mosaic Crochet group, on Facebook, and share there your creations, progress on One Skein of Love patterns or doubts you might have. The group is a a very welcoming and helpful one. Besides there are always promotions running exclusively in the group.
Materials
In my sample I used Hobbii Soft Alpaca yarn (colours and quantities are indicated in the pattern) and a 3.5 mm hook.
Finishing Size
The final size of the cowl is approximately 64 cm (25”) circumference and 32 cm (12.6”) height.
Note that your final size will change due to your crochet tension or the yarn you use. Matching the pattern tension is not vital.
You can customize the size of your cowl by adding or decreasing repeats of the pattern, but keep in mind that this will affect the amount of yarn required.
Testers Team: Bev Davidson, Edith Horn, Linda Lee and Tina Bonham.
