In flames crescent shawl
If you’ve ever wanted to crochet a crescent shawl and couldn’t find a pattern for one, this is a gift for you. The crescent shape worked on the bias creates a fluid fabric that drapes beautifully around your neck or shoulders.
Follow a repeat of two simple rows to make a shawl as large or as little as you need, using what yarns you have available. Depending on the weight of the yarn you want to use, you may need between 2 and 5 balls for the body of the shawl. Then add an interesting border in a contrasting color to give it a beautiful finish. This may use up to 1 ball of yarn and it’s perfect for those hand-dyed variegated yarns that you only have little amounts of, or for leftovers from other projects.
This pattern is recommended for anyone, from beginners to advanced crocheters, as it only uses simple stitches, but ends up having amazing texture due to working in the front or back loops of the stitches.
A pdf file will be available soon and for now the pattern is available for free online.
