Idle Road Boot Toppers
♪ The Music ♪
Idle Road is a traditional Irish double jig that I first heard on Joanie Madden’s collection A Whistle on the Wind. It’s a lively, toe-tapping tune that will make your feet yearn to wander the idle roads.
Pattern Notes
These cabled boot toppers are worked in the round from the bottom (wide ribbing) up. The front and back of the boot topper are identical. Size S is shown in the photographs; larger sizes are created by adding additional Honeycomb cable columns at the side of the boot topper. Each size has its own charts / written directions. Bind off is ‘in pattern’.
Both charts and written directions are provided.
A photo tutorial for the Estonian Cast On is included as a separate PDF.
