The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.

“She had never known that ice could take on so many shades of blue: sharp lines of indigo like the deepest sea, aquamarine shadows, even the glint of blue-green where the sun struck just so.”
― Malinda Lo, Huntress

Named after the colorway of the yarn used, “Ice Dreamer”, Icescape represents the beauty and color of winter and ice, with the border mimicking icicles and the way the colors in the yarn pool and flow throughout the piece. The garter stitch body allows for a squishy fabric, making it cozy to wrap around you on chilly days.

This pattern is a top-down crescent shawl, with the body in garter stitch and an attached on border worked at the end. Because the body is worked in simple garter stitch and the border is a simple eyelet pattern, it is a perfect fit for showing off your own handspun yarn. The Dreamer Fibre Muse is the muse of selfexpression, so let yours shine through the yarn you chose to pair up with this pattern!

Icescape is the sister pattern to the Phlegethon Shawl, it’s fire counterpart.

Yarns Used: Original - SW Merino by Fully Spun (Fingering; 2-Ply; 85% SW Merino, 15% Nylon; 350 yards; 4 oz). 2 skeins in Ice Dreamer.
Needle: US6 (4 mm) 32” (81 cm) needle. A long circular needle is recommended, in order to accommodate the large number of stitches, as the shawl grows.

Gauge: 22 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) (after blocking) in garter stitch. Gauge is not essential to this piece but varying gauges will affect final measurements and yardage used.
Other Notions: Darning needle, stitch marker.
