Icelandic Love Magic Mittens
The mitten is worked in the round in stockinette stitch. Picot edging around the opening.
All thumb increases are worked on the palm side, and follow the curve of the life-line.
This makes the mitten follow the anatomy of the hand very nicely and comfortable to wear.
Stitches for the thumb are put on scrap yarn while the body of the mitten is finished, and the thumb is knitted afterwards.
At the end the mitten is decorated with a powerful and ancient Icelandic love rune. A magic stave that will attract love to the wearer.

magic-loop method. Or a needle size required for gauge.
