Iced Gem

Wrap yourself in luxuriously soft alpaca and silk for the party season. This stunning crochet cape, inspired by slowly melting ice, makes the perfect cover-up for winter. This alpaca silk yarn has quickly become one of my favourites. When it is paired with this lacy stitch pattern it makes the most gorgeous accessory for cold nights – whether you are staying in to crochet or going out on the town.
The cape is warm, but still very light and has just a hint of vintage style. You’ll get to grips with ripples before you know it – the pretty ripple stitch pattern is made up of treble and double treble stitches.
