This pattern book has one actual sweater pattern (written), and 16 color charts for customization. This particular pattern is a beach-loving bear enjoying a triple-scoop ice cream cone. Too cute!

The sweater pattern has options for either a boat-neck (two buttons, optional), or a crew neck. It is worked flat in pieces and seamed together. It also calls for either two goo-goo eyes, or a little extra embroidery thread to embroider the eyes. The color work is done in a combination of Intarsia and stranded; where the “beach” turns to “ocean,” for example, is a jagged edge rather than a straight-across stripe - that would be done by stranded method. The bear is a solid block that would be better suited for Intarsia method.

It calls for two ounce balls of knitting worsted (no name brand given) in 12 colors altogether:
