Hyun tee & dress are worked up in a simple texture made of knits and purls. Hyun tee and dress has a loose and drapey fit with a beautiful dropped shoulder, making it a classic addition to any wardrobe. The pattern includes instructions for both tee and dress.

CONSTRUCTION

The tee/dress is worked top down, beginning with a cast-on for the back of the neckline. The shoulders/fronts are created with increases using the backwards loop method. Each front is worked separately before they are joined for the neckline. When you have reached the desired length, front and back are joined and you continue working in the round. Short rows at the back are included on both tee and dress for a better fit. Most of the knitting is done on the wrong side in order to have fewer purl stitches.

Measurement guidelines: I am wearing a size 1 in the photos, which gives me 35 cm / 13.8” of positive ease. As the tee is intended to have a loose fit, consider choosing a size that gives you between 15-40 cm of positive ease.

Yarn alternatives:

Hyun tee & dress can be worked up in many different yarns and yarn combinations. Instead of the Cashmere Lace, you could use e.g. Alpaca 1 from Isager Yarn. A combination of Palet or Trio 2 held with a strand of Trio 1, all from Isager Yarn, is also an option. You could also hold together 2 strands of pure silk from Knitting for Olive.

Note: Always remember to make a swatch to ensure that you meet gauge, regardless of your yarn choice.

Gauge: 21 sts x 30 rows on a 4 mm / US 6 needle in pattern: k3, p1 after washing and blocking.
