Hygge Ribbed Beanie
It’s a beginner friendly pattern that involves no increases or decreases. Beanie is worked flat in a rectangle, then the sides are sewn together and the top is closed.
Sizes: Preemie, newborn, 1-3 m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-3y, 3-5y, 6-10y, teen/adult small, adult medium, adult large
To fit head circumference: 12”, 14”, 16”, 17”, 18”, 19”, 20”, 21”, 22”, 23”, 24”
Baby sizes are available for free on my blog.
I have used acrylic wool blend yarn, which provides sufficient warmth. In addition to that, wool provides strech and elasticity to the beanie. I would totally recommend wool-acrylic blend or 100% wool yarn for this project, but you can also use acrylic yarn. Instead of bulky yarn, worsted weight yarn can also be used, holding 2 strands together (provided that you meet the pattern gauge).
