This square is reminiscent of the colorful hydrangea shrubs that flourished in my grandmother’s neighbor’s front yard when I was a child. The pattern combines bullions, post stitches, and crossed stitches to create texture.

This pattern was initially released as part of Crochetville’s 2014 National Crochet Month Designer Blog Tour. Please consider supporting the featured charity, Halos of Hope, an organization that provides volunteer-crafted hats to cancer centers throughout the U.S.A.
