Hummingbird Cardi
The granny square gets a modern makeover here in this unique, easy-to-wear cardi. Polished enough to be worn over a dress, but casual enough for jeans and a t-shirt, this cute cardigan can do it all!
Construction begins with the Granny squares and is crocheted both bottom up (shoulders) and top-down (body) from that focal point. All ribbing pieces are made separately with a smaller hook, and stitched in place allowing you to fine-tune the fit as you go.

We have discovered an error in the pattern: When working the optional bust shaping for the LEFT FRONT, the place where you pick up the yarn (to begin short Row A) is incorrect. It should read:
Short Row Series for Left Front Body (optional).
Place last loop made on removable st marker. Join a second ball of yarn to work as follows: With WS facing, pull up a loop of MC in 26th (31st, 35th, 41st) st.
