Humlebi Socks
The Humlebi socks are a toe up sock with a fleegle heel construction. The design is simple yet fun with only 3 rows of eyelet flowers and bees sit around the leg.
The socks are named Humlebi (meaning bumblebee in Danish) and are inspired by the summerdays in my garden when the bees are busy buzzing around the flowers.
The idea for the Humlebi socks came to me quite quickly after releasing the Humlebi Shawl but the socks needed to be knit toe up for the bees to turn the right direction. Since I’m a heel flap and gusset kinda girl I found the toe up construction not ideal. Then I came across the fleegle heel. It is very easy to do and fits really well! Finally I could make the socks exactly as I wanted.
The pattern comes with written instructions, charts and video tutorials to explain the different parts.
