Humbug Ribbed Jumper CY1166
Very similar, but not identical to Bonbon Jumper
This pattern for a jumper (pullover) has many thoughtful features well adapted for dressing a baby. It is ribbed throughout, thus allowing room for growth and longer wear. It features raglan-style long sleeves (cuffs could first be folded back and later could be worn full length). The sweater has a 2-button Henley neck, making it easier to pass the sweater over a baby’s proportionally large head. Moreover, the front of the neck is designed lower than the back of the neck for optimized, anatomically appropriate fit (a feature not typically found in raglan pullovers, which tend to have front and back necklines at the same level). Back, front, and sleeves are worked separately, from the bottom up. The neckband is worked by picking up stitches at the top of these 4 pieces. Then side and sleeve seams are sewn.
