Humboldt
This is a pattern for a V-neck jumper knit using the stranded knitting technique (though there are 2 rounds in the motif repeat which use 3 colours across). It is worked from the top down and either flat or in the round with a steek over the yoke. The body and sleeves are worked in the round.
Stitches are provisionally cast on for the back neck, shoulders, and beginning of front Raglan shaping. Charts are used to work the Raglan shaping. Then sleeve sts are separated from the body sts. Once the sleeves and body are worked, the steek is prepared and cut (if needed). Then sts are replaced to needles, from provisional cast-on, and picked up along the neck edge. Neck ribbing is worked in the round. The piece is then blocked.
This pattern is intended for advanced or keen intermediate knitters. The Raglan shaping over the front, back, and sleeve (sleeve shown for m & w) are charted for each size. Please, see schematic (images) for approximate finished sizes.
It is possible to use individual charts together to achieve a better fit. (For example, The sample used front - 2, back - 4, and sleeve - 3. Then each element was worked to the same desired length, before separating sleeve sts and casting on sts to keep pattern flowing over the body and sleeve. The Main Motif pattern is a repeat of 12 sts.)
This pattern includes 3 individual pdfs for size groupings with written instructions for all sizes, but charts for those sizes only.
