The name “Hot The Top” is a tribute to my Grandma Edie, who passed away on her 94th birthday this October. If you had ever sat for a cup of coffee or tea with her, after a little while at the table she’d get up and go to the stove. Then she’d come back with a hot kettle and offer you a bit more from the pot and ask if she should “hot the top” for you. Plus, she was a knitter…

The design was created to showcase Nurtured, which features flecks of various colors mixed into each of the colorways, and those subtle hints of green, gray and purple show up beautifully in a simple motif.
