These felted wool slippers are quick to knit, and extra warm. Shown here before and after felting. A pocket is added to the top of a basic beginner’s sock that holds a felted wool pouch insert. The pouch is filled with dried rice or grains before closing, and then it is micro waved and inserted into the slipper pocket for long lasting warmth. Novelty yarn may be added to the cuffs and pocket tops for fun effects after felting. (See additional photos, some with novelty yarn, on my General Knitting page!)
