Hot and Cold Cowl
Be as loud or as subtle as you like with this cowl. You can use cool colours and glassy beads for a sophisticated finish, or you can create a bright and bold accessory with sequins and vivid coloured yarn. It’s up to you!
The blue cowl shown is the largest size you can make by while still using only one skein of GGH soft kid mohair. The orange cowl shows the smaller size which allows you to do more pattern repeats and results in a deeper, closer fitting cowl.
The pattern is very easy to adjust. It is also a good introduction to knitting lace if you have not tried it before as the repeated pattern is simple and easy to memorise, with not a purl stitch in sight!
Pattern includes a chart as well as full written instructions. It also includes a short description of how to add beads to your knitting using the slip-stitch method, with a link to a video tutorial.
