Take a trip around the knitting world with this Hot Air Balloon that Mr Phileas Fogg would be proud of. Inspired by the Around the World in 80 Days story, this hot air balloon can hang from a ceiling to brighten any room.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the balloon is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and a button or card circle to stabilise the basket base.

SIZES
One size only - 29cm tall including the basket.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
