This all-over honeycomb design adds a simple yet striking design element to a classic beanie shape.

These honeycomb stitches are worked with a cable method. They are very stretchy, allowing for a really comfortable fit.
This design is unisex. Colors such as gray, navy blue, and black will change the impression of the hat completely!

GAUGE
The gauge, 3.5 sts / 1” is in St.st. with US 10 needles.
Since the honeycomb sts are the combination of Knit and Purl sts, I recommend using one size smaller needles.-- US 9 for main hat, US 8 for ribbing.

YARN
You need only one skein (100g) of Chunky weight yarn.
The optional pompom requires about 30g total. The sample pompom was made with 15g of each, variegated yarn and white.

One size fits all.
If you want to make a larger hat, please use US 9 for ribbing, US10 for the main part.
